Steps for designing Ball screw:
a) Enter total axial force acting on ball screw in newton.
b) Enter minor diameter of screw for first iteration in mm and maximum rotation of screw for checking critical speed.
c) Select lead of ball screw.
d) Enter Young's Modulus (N/mm^2) and density of screw in Kg/m^3.
e) Enter Required life of ball nut in hours for calculating dynamic load rating.
f) Enter distance between supports of screw and distance between center of fixed end to center of maximum position of nut in mm.
g) Enter efficiency of screw. (for ball screw it ranges from 0.85 to 0.98)
e) Select end condition of screw for calculating buckling load.
f) Results will be generated based on above data.
